Moreton Bay is protected by Stradbroke Island and Moreton Island, which gives us dives inside the bay and in the open ocean. The sites range from coral gardens in a marine reserve, to a favourite spot where manta rays feed, or gentle reef slopes ideal for drift diving, or drop-offs, as well as wrecks in deep water, and an artificial reef.

The former HMAS Brisbane was scuttled 2.9 nautical miles east of Mudjimba Island near Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast at a depth of 28 metres.
