ship was scuttled on Sunday 31 July 2005.

Four dive operators are
currently permitted to run trips to the wreck.

The ship is located approximately
2.9 miles to the east of Mudjimba (Old Women) Island.

It is in approx 28m on a
sandy bottom. This puts the 'Cat' just inside
state waters (3 mile limit).

The ship was sanitized and prepared for easy access by divers.

A marine park has been proclaimed
around the wreck.

Appropriate management plans
have been put in place by EPA for the new marine park / permits etc.

A documentary has been
commissioned by the government.
