The Solomon Islands are world-renown for their wreck diving and World War II history, not to mention the abundant marine life, pelagic fish, spectacular wall dives with superb visibility. The climate is tropical, with average daytime temperatures around 85 deg F (29 deg C) and high humidity. The water temperature averages 82 deg F ( 28 deg C).

We have visited Iron Bottom Sound, the Florida (Nggela) Islands, the Russell Islands and Gizo where there is an incredible range of diving.  Dive sites include US and Japanese WWII wrecks, aircraft, sheer coral walls, caves, sea mounts, and ammunition dumps. 

Solomon Airlines flies from Brisbane to Honiara several times a week. The main point of entry into the Solomon Islands is at Henderson Airport on the island of Guadalcanal, situated approximately 10 minutes drive from the capital of Honiara. The town is situated on the northern coastline and includes a small, picturesque seaport at Point Cruz. 

Scuba diving is available on the liveaboard cruise vessels based in Honiara, or from Tulagi, Maravagi Resort, Yandina Resort, Munda, Uepi or Gizo.
