Tangalooma Wrecks make a good drift dive near the top of the tide. We swam on the surface across the sheltered water where yachts anchor. Then we drifted leisurely through the wrecks and enjoyed the fish life, except for one or two stonefish!  We penetrated the old “Morwong” suction dredge using our torches to light the long tunnel that slopes up from between the twin propellers. The interior is well lit and it is easy to follow the passageway and emerge over the port rail. This old dredge has been the first wreck penetration dive for many people.

Shore dive to Tangalooma Wrecks, Nov 1996.
